Niagara Region, in collaboration with local partners, is developing a plan to support community safety and well-being in Niagara. A Community Safety and Well-Being Plan is a way to work together using a community-based approach to address root causes of complex social issues.
The goal of the plan is to create a safe and healthy community where individuals and families:
- Have access to the right services at the right time
- Are able to meet their needs
- Have opportunities for economic and social participation
Engaging residents, health and social service providers, businesses and educational institutions throughout the planning process is a critical piece to developing Niagara’s Community Safety and Well-Being Plan.
