Summer is here, and the St. Catharines Game & Fish Association (SCGFA) is thrilled to announce the 30th anniversary of their Kids Summer Derby! This year’s event promises to be the best ever, kicking off on July 1st and running for a full nine weeks of fishing fun, concluding on August 31, 2024.

9 Weeks of Fishing Fun

Starting July 1st, young anglers will have nine exciting weeks to participate in the derby, enjoying the great outdoors and the thrill of catching fish. The SCGFA has planned a memorable summer with plenty of opportunities for kids to show off their fishing skills and win fantastic prizes.

Special Kids Day Event: September 7th

The fun doesn’t stop at the end of August. On September 7th, SCGFA is bringing back the highly anticipated one-day shore fishing derby at their Kids Day event. This special day will be packed with activities for kids of all ages and even more chances to win prizes.

How to Participate

To join the derby, participants need to get their 2024 derby package, which includes all the necessary details and the official Kids Summer Derby button. Remember, entries must include a photo of the angler with their fish and the official 2024 Kids Summer Derby button for the catch to count.
