NIAGARA FALLS, ON – The inaugural PenFinancial Mother Earth Day event was created to encourage residents to come together to learn, interact, and celebrate positive environmental action. Whether you attend to try some great food, participate in fun activities, or just to enjoy people watching, we hope you will leave a little more inspired about caring for our planet, and a little more connected to community members making a difference.
The PenFinancial Mother Earth Day event will include interactive environmental and health focused demonstrations, as well as educational opportunities, and access to dozens of earth-friendly local businesses and organizations. The event will take place at Firemen’s Park in Niagara Falls from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022 (rain or shine) and is hosted by the Park in the City Committee as a celebration of the environment.
Mother Earth Day is open to the public and free to attend and participate.
Planned activities include a community clean-up and tree planting events, the showcase of over 75 participating vendors and organizations, and ten demonstrations and youth engagement activities.
Youth activities provided by Heartland Forest, the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee, and the Niagara Falls Public Library will take place between 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Activities are geared towards ages two to ten. Some activities include: Niagara Falls StoryWalk, crafts, an obstacle course, a scavenger hunt, a rideable kids’ train and more!
