The Niagara Falls Nature Club welcomes you to participate in leisurely walks to enjoy the splendid flora and fauna of the Niagara Region. All walks are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Anyone may join and all participants are asked to sign in with the leader ahead of time.
Please complete participant waivers in advance. Member waivers are good for the year while guests must complete a waiver for each event separately.
Walks are rated from 1 to 10; 1 is easy and 10 is strenuous.
April 26 WOODEND CONSERVATION AREA (6)
Spring ephemerals and some fine views from the cliffs make for an enjoyable evening. Meet outside the gate on the lane at 1 Taylor Rd., Niagara-on-the-lake.

Come and enjoy the abundance of spring flowers. We should also see many birds. Meet at the end of Holloway Bay Road, Fort Erie.

Explore the base of the escarpment and feel for ice in cave remnants. From Victoria Ave. in Vineland take King St west 4.7 km to Cave Spring Rd., then uphill around a curve between vineyards, then right to a cul-de-sac below the red barn.

We will explore old growth forest, prairie remnants and a sand dune complex on Lake Erie shoreline. From Hwy 3 in Port Colborne go west to Wainfleet, take Golf Course Rd. south to Lakeshore Rd., then Lakeshore west to Morgan’s Point Rd., then go south to the park.
