To align with Volunteer Canada’s National Volunteer Week (from April 24 to 30), Niagara Region is celebrating all the volunteers who support our Seniors Services team.
This annual celebration is a time to thank and recognize volunteers. This year’s theme, Volunteering is Empathy in Action, highlights how this profoundly human connection is at the heart of healthier individuals and stronger communities. This year, Niagara Region is acknowledging the dedication, hard work, importance and hours of services that volunteers across all eight Regional long-term care homes provided for 2022.
Volunteers play a vital role in the delivery of our programs in the community and bring heart to our long-term care homes. Currently, we’re looking for new faces to join us and these amazing long-time volunteers. Those who are interested can apply online. All volunteer applications are reviewed with consideration of current volunteer opportunities.
Depending on the position applied for, candidates may be required to complete a Vulnerable Police Clearance check and/or participate in an interview. A police clearance certificate with vulnerable sector query is required for all individuals 18 years of age and older.
