Niagara Health Foundation is excited to launch its annual Celebration of Lights holiday campaign. The annual campaign directly supports Niagara Health’s five hospital sites; funding urgently needed equipment that is essential for patients and residents in our community.
This year, Niagara Health Foundation has partnered with the City of Niagara Falls, City of St. Catharines, City of Welland and Niagara Region to launch the annual campaign with tree lighting ceremonies.
Community members are encouraged to join the virtual tree lighting ceremony that will be live streamed on the Niagara Health Foundation Facebook Page (www.fb.com/NiagaraHealthFD).
The dates of the Tree Lighting ceremonies are as follows:
- Niagara Falls: Saturday, November 14 at 5:00 PM
- Niagara Region: Thursday, November 19 at 6:00 PM
- St. Catharines: Sunday, November 22 at 5:00 PM
- Welland: Wednesday November 25 at 6:00 PM
The Niagara Health Foundation has also partnered with Alectra Inc. Donations made to the Celebration of Lights holiday campaign will be matched dollar for dollar up to $10,000 by Alectra Inc. between December 1, 2020 and December 7, 2020.
Since 2014, community donations to Celebration of Lights have raised more than $850,000. Community members are encouraged to “celebrate recovery, support healing or honour someone special” by making a donation on behalf of a loved one. All Celebration of Lights donations of $50 will have a “Holiday Bulb” on display at a Niagara Health site of the donors choosing.
Donations to the Celebration of Lights campaign can be made at www.lightsforhealth.com.
