The Help Kids Shine Campaign is Niagara Children’s Centre’s largest fundraising and awareness program of the year. Typically this campaign runs in May, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic we realigned this campaign to run in October alongside our Superhero Run.
We are proud to announce, that with the help of our community, we have surpassed the $120,000 goal set for this year’s campaign and raised $127,125! The success of this campaign is a collective effort from corporate sponsors, to individual donors to ambassadors reaching out to their networks. Together, we make it possible for children and their families to get the help and support they need, when they need it most.
“At Niagara Children’s Centre we provided therapy and support to over 5,800 children and their families last year, and expect we will continue to see a demand that exceeds our funding. The funds raised through Help Kids Shine ensure that we can provide more services to more families throughout the year ahead,” said Niagara Children’s Centre CEO Oksana Fisher.
The Help Kids Shine Campaign is so fortunate to partner with Bell Media and their three local radio stations – 105.7EZ Rock, 97.7 HTZ-FM and Newstalk 610 CKTB. Together, these stations do so much to help spread the word about the Centre and the great work taking place here.
This year, we are so fortunate to once again have a community sponsors who have rallied together to provide financial support for our community. Thank you to CIBC Wood Gundy – St. Catharines, MNP Debt, BrokerLink, Cooper Wealth Management, Alectra, O’Hara Trucking-Excavating Inc., and KPMG for your loyal support. We were also fortunate this year to have a generous matching donor help us close the gap to our goal at the end of the campaign.
The campaign wouldn’t be complete without the Centre families and friends who over the course of the month, through on-air interviews, ambassador crowd-funding campaigns and events, came together to show the community how important our Centre is to them and so many others. Thank you. You have helped to ensure that all children in Niagara have the opportunity to shine.
Ambassador and Centre parent Kate Wiley shared, “The funds raised not only help the children served to gain confidence and the skills through therapies they would not otherwise be able to afford or access, they also be give a good night’s sleep, smiles and happy memories to many families who would otherwise be struggling. Niagara Children’s Centre allows children and their families to truly shine for generations.”
Although the month of October is over, we will continue to accept donations by phone, in person and online at www.helpkidsshine.ca.
