Distance Into Donations – The Dissociative Runner is excited to be partnering with the Richard Robinson Prescott Court (RRPC) Innovation Foundation Inc. From October 2nd to October 23rd we’ll be asking you to match our distances run with a donation to the RRPC Innovation Foundation Inc.
Our goal is to raise $500 in support of their safe day space which provides free mental health counselling to youth across the Niagara Region.
Help us reach that goal by matching our latest 5.59mile distance with a $5.59 donation directly to the RRPC!
Link to donate is: https://www.canadahelps.org/…/richard-robinson…/
*We ask that you please specify your donation is for the “D.i.D. Fundraiser” in the notes section!*

Early intervention of mental illness is key to treatment. The RRPC Innovation Foundation provides mental health counselling to youth across the Niagara Region… with NO WAITLIST. It is imperative that youth receive professional counselling as soon as they need it so that they can learn the skills necessary to #heal and deal. In addition to no waitlist, the #rrpcinnovationfoundation doesn’t put a limit on the number of sessions youth receive. I can tell you from personal experience the amount of pressure that can result from knowing there is a limit to the amount of help you can receive. Dealing with mental health issues is difficult. It takes time and commitment. Adding the additional stress of a time limit or “due date” for healing only exacerbates stress and struggle.
We commend the RRPC for addressing these two factors in a way that youth can get help when they need it for as long as they need it.
It is also important to note here that #everyonehasmentalhealth . Counselling and Mental Health assistance is not just for people experiencing crisis. #mentalhealthishealthtoo
