The Brock women’s basketball team remained perfect in 2024 with a pair of wins over the weekend.
On Friday, the Badgers pounded Algoma 77-37. Saturday, Brock came from behind on the road to record a 63-58 victory over Guelph.
Leading the way for the Badgers against Algoma (2-10) were: Madalyn Weinert with 19 points and eight rebounds; Sir Winston Churchill alumna Brookelyn Keltos with 14 points in 17 minutes of playing time; Angeline Campbell with nine points; Shailah Adams with eight points; Madison Macinnis with seven points and 14 rebounds, including nine offensive boards; and, Noor Bazzi with seven points.
Top scorer for Algoma was Kaila Fong with 11 points.
“Everybody played and we played really well,” Brock head coach Mike Rao said of the win over Algoma. “Many players shot the ball really well and it was good overall performance by everyone.”
