As the world moves into a post-pandemic environment, care for older adults remains a top priority. Community Support Services of Niagara is committed to helping older adults stay healthy, connected, safe, and engaged with their peers and community through our programs and services.
“We are excited to be partnering with the Give65 program” says Community Development Officer Christine Bottenfield Bissonnette. “Participating in the #GivingTuesday celebration hosted by Home Instead Charities will help us raise much needed funds to support our clients keeping them happy in their homes,”
Give65 is an online giving program presented by Home Instead Charities exclusively to support charitable organizations serving older adults. On November 29, Home Instead Charities is celebrating #GivingTuesday on the Give65 platform with up to $30,000 available in matching grants.
During this year’s #GivingTuesday celebration with Give65.ca, we are raising funds to provide subsidies to client costs. These subsidies will assist our clients with food security, transportation to and from necessary medical appointments and homemaking services, all of which will allow our clients to stay healthy and happy in their homes.

“Our programs and services are critical to the health and well-being of our older adult clients and the community that we serve,” says Carolyn Askeland Executive Director. “Through matching grants from Home Instead Charities, we have the chance to raise additional dollars for our work, which helps to provide tools for clients to define their own journey.”
The 24-hour #GivingTuesday celebration begins @ 1:00am on Tuesday, November 29, and concludes @ 1:00am on Wednesday, November 30.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with CSSN during the #GivingTuesday celebration at Give65.ca and hope our partnership inspires greater charitable giving in support of older adults who rely on the important work of the charitable sector,” says Roger Baumgart, President of the board of Home Instead Charities.
