For the third straight year, Niagara Health has been selected as one of Hamilton-Niagara’s Top Employers.
The annual competition, organized by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, recognizes employers in the Hamilton-Niagara region that lead their industries in providing extraordinary workplaces.
“We are extremely grateful for our caring and dedicated team of more than 6,000 staff, physicians and volunteers,” says Niagara Health President Lynn Guerriero. “Each day they go above and beyond to make a positive difference in the lives of our patients and their families. And that has never been more evident than how they have responded to the COVID-19 pandemic. Their remarkable response in a challenging time is a testament to our supportive workplace culture and the engagement of our teams.”
“Our aim is to make the experience of working or volunteering at our sites exceptional through a wide range of programs and initiatives that support career growth – allowing our teams to continually learn and improve,” says Flo Paladino, Niagara Health Executive Vice President People and Organizational Development. “We are grateful to our team for making Niagara Health such a great place to work and for helping shape us into the organization we are today.”
A caring culture is a vital part of who we are and integral to what makes Niagara Health a top employer. This year, our Workplace Acts of Kindness challenge surpassed a milestone of 40,000 acts of kindness, many of which were carried out during the pandemic, when they were needed the most.
