Niagara Irish Festival
August 23 @ 5:00 pm - August 24 @ 10:00 pm
Friday (Candlelight theme)
It will feature performances by Paddyman, Michael O’Grady Band, Vox Violins, Irish Music Niagra, Daryl Gray & Others. There will be some amazing Irish dance displays.
YES – back by huge popular request – we will be repeating the amazing candlelight theme for Friday evening in the amphitheatre. Attendees will be given a candle to light and hear special stories of Ireland – (like the story of Grace Gifford & Joseph Plunkett that we did last year)
BONUS: This year people will have the option to join a special Irish Ceili in the hall from 10.30pm, where we will dance to Irish music hosted by Maureen Mulvey. (Spaces will be limited & more details will follow closer to the time.)
Saturday (JUMP AROUND THEME)
Once again we will start off the day with the Leprechaun arriving in a helicopter! This will be followed by live Irish dance performances and music. Niagara Police Pipe Band (they have around 25 pipers!) will also be welcoming people at the start of the day on Saturday!
Some of the acts include Grass Mud Horse, The Blackthorns, Bill Craig (formerly of the Irish Rovers), Steel City Rovers, O’Malley’s Mates, Hamilton Irish Arts band & Paddyman. Kids bouncy castles, storytelling and musical demos will be featured too.
There will be Irish Wolfhounds too!
Free parking available on site on a first come basis.
NOTE: Entertainment Acts and Schedule subject to change.
We will have the best of music as well as some authentic Irish food & other vendors. There will be a large beer tent as well as an Irish cultural tent.
