Farmers’ Market is the perfect way to start your weekend off right. This Saturday, our farmers will be displaying beautiful ripe strawberries, berries, beets, lettuce, beans, garlic scapes, peas, new potatoes, microgreens, radishes, herbs, farm-fresh eggs and more. Now that the season is progressing, we have a full lineup of farmers joining us weekly. Our prepared food vendors have breakfast and lunch options, in addition to meal options to take home. And as always, we will have a wide variety of fresh-baked pastries & pies, organic maple syrup, local honey, cheese, butter, jams, jellies, juices, and hand-tied floral bouquets. Grab an “Egg-Thingy” and a coffee to enjoy at the picnic tables, and make it a truly lazy, easygoing Saturday morning. This Saturday @ The Market, our crafters and artisans will be offering up their unique hand-made items, perfect for gift-giving, or treating yourself.

The Market @ The Village Presents…
A weekly section called “Meet the Vendors”

One of this year’s new farmers is Richard Culp, owner of Aching Back Acres. He is a 7th-generation farmer in Lincoln and farming in the Jordan Valley. Though Richard doesn’t use the word organic, none of his produce is sprayed with any pesticides or other chemicals. Richard encourages customers to come and pay a visit to his farm to truly see where their food comes from. At his farm, you can see a variety of produce including peas, beans, beets, garlic, okra, tomatoes, hot peppers, onions, a wide variety of squash, watermelon, and pumpkins, growing across approximately 10 acres of land as well as 5 acres of apples and pears. Expanding into rhubarb, asparagus and Elderberries. One cool part about Richards’s farm is that he rents goats for bush control. This method has become popular in the last few years; the goats are guided to the overgrown bush and

allowed to eat it all which keeps the goats happy and well fed as well as keeping the bushes from overgrowing! The herd for Aching Back Acres is about 20 goats of all breeds to be able to control the management of invasive species and unwanted agricultural overgrowth.
