Niagara Region currently has opportunities for qualified community members interested in participating in the new Transportation Strategy Steering Committee as well as members of the Humberstone and Niagara Road 12 Landfill Sites Public Liaison Committees.
The Transportation Strategy Steering Committee is a volunteer advisory committee that will provide support in the Region’s development of a balanced and sustainable transportation network for moving people and goods that consider the mobility needs of all vulnerable road users.
The Humberstone Landfill Site Public Liaison Committee and the Niagara Road 12 Landfill Site Public Liaison Committee are advisory committees that provide input into matters associated with the operations of their respective landfill sites as well as Regional studies that could impact the operations or use of the sites.
Applications are encouraged from all members of the community, including Indigenous peoples, people of all races and ethnicities, people of all genders and sexualities, and people with disabilities.
