On Saturday, May 6, 2023, Niagara Parks will celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty The Queen by offering free admission to the Floral Showhouse and the Butterfly Conservatory, followed by a special illumination of Niagara Falls that evening.
Niagara Parks joins the Ontario government and other cultural attractions across the Province in helping Ontarians commemorate this historic occasion. The King’s Coronation marks the first coronation of a Canadian Head of State in seven decades.
The Floral Showhouse will be opening for the season on Saturday, May 6, presenting their spectacular Hydrangea Display. Visitors to both the Floral Showhouse and the Butterfly Conservatory will receive free admission on Saturday, May 6.
“The Ontario government is celebrating the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III by inviting everyone to visit the Floral Showhouse and the Butterfly Conservatory for free on May 6,” said Neil Lumsden, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport. “Whether it’s your first time visiting or you’re a regular guest, I encourage you to take advantage of this exciting opportunity and experience everything Niagara Parks has to offer.”

From 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. the evening of May 6, Niagara Falls will be illuminated in emerald green, joining other landmarks across the province and country.
