The 2024 Women in Business Awards (WIBAs) will honour Michele O’Keefe, Director of Athletics and Student Engagement at Niagara College, as the recipient of this year’s prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. O’Keefe, who has had an extraordinary career advancing women in sports, previously served as CEO and president of Canada Basketball and has championed inclusive, empowering environments for athletes and students alike. Her work has earned her accolades, including the 2024 CICan Leadership Excellence Award, and has left a lasting impact in both Niagara and the broader sports community.

The WIBAs will also recognize nominees across 15 other categories, celebrating women leaders in the Niagara region. Categories include the Community Impact Award, Corporate Leadership Award, Cultural Arts Award, Emerging Business Award, and more. These awards spotlight the contributions of women who are driving growth, innovation, and social impact in the community.
