Shelley is a community advocate that promotes arts and culture in Niagara Falls. Since 2016, she has hosted a number of events including: Porchfest – a small scale music festival held on various front porches in the downtown neighbourhood of Niagara Falls, Stories From the Porch – storytelling from the front porch of her house, and Sundays On the Porch – local musicians playing on the front porch.
She has volunteered on the city’s Municipal Heritage Committee and is a past board member of Niagara Falls Historic Preservation Society (Niagara Falls, NY) and Third Space Cafe. She recently graduated from the Midwifery Education Program at Laurentian University. In her spare time you’re likely to find her sitting on her front porch.
