The City of St. Catharines, in collaboration with Future Black Female, Black Owned 905, the St. Catharines Downtown Association, the St. Catharines Public Library, and the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre, is proud to present a unique opportunity for Black artists across Niagara.
As part of Black History Month, the exhibition “Reclaiming Narratives: A Black Resistance” aims to celebrate and amplify the voices, stories, and creativity of Black artists. This initiative underscores the importance of honoring Black resistance through art while empowering artists to reclaim their narratives.
Black artists from Niagara are invited to participate in this impactful showcase. Submissions are open until Monday, January 13.
The exhibition will be installed at City Hall (50 Church St., St. Catharines), the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre (250 St Paul St, St. Catharines) and the St. Catharines Public Library, Central Library Branch (54 Church St., St. Catharines).
