Habitat for Humanity Niagara’s St. Catharines ReStore will reopen on Tuesday, June 16th with a fresh new look.
“We have been at this location for ten years and it needed a little TLC,” said Keith Gowans, Habitat Niagara’s COO. “It’s our busiest store, so we took some time during the COVID shutdown to freshen it up with new paint, increase space between aisles and create new areas to display products. We’re working hard renovating and enhancing the store to give our customers an even better experience. ”
The ReStore refresh, as they call it, also includes new departmental signs, photos of families and volunteers and newly arranged areas to properly display appliances, furniture and coordinated vignettes such as housewares.
It really is a bargain hunter’s dream. The ReStores are home improvement stores which sell new and gently used furniture, home accessories, kitchens, appliances, building materials and much more for a fraction of the retail price, plus you never pay HST.
Donations and purchases help fund Habitat for Humanity’s mission where Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build better lives for themselves and their families.
Habitat Niagara’s Grimsby ReStore reopened at the beginning of June and its Fonthill location is scheduled to reopen on June 30th. All three locations have implemented additional health and safety measures to keep customers and their team members safe.
Stores will be operating with reduced hours from Tuesday to Saturday 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, and donations can be dropped off Tuesday to Saturday 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
The donation drop-off area is contact free as donors are asked to remain in their vehicle while the Habitat team removes the donations. All donations will be quarantined for 24 hours, cleaned and disinfected prior to being placed for sale in the store. Donations valued over $100 are tax receiptable.
Whether you’re looking to renovate your kitchen or bathroom, re-furnish your living room or fix up your basement, the ReStore should be your first stop!
