Just two weeks ago, Habitat for Humanity Niagara marked a joyous milestone by completing its fifth home build in Port Colborne, handing over the keys to a single mom and her children during a touching key ceremony. Adding an extra layer of warmth and generosity, Stage Smart Interior Design, a local decorating company, offered a heartfelt gift by staging the family’s living and dining rooms ahead of their move-in.
Ana Brunskole, owner of Stage Smart, connected with someone familiar with Habitat for Humanity and felt inspired to contribute to this life-changing mission.
“We absolutely love what we do,” shared Ana. “Seeing the joy on families’ faces is the best part of our work. This was also our way of saying thank you to the community that has supported us as a business and giving back to a deserving family.”
When the moment came for the big “reveal,” the magic of the holiday spirit filled the air as the new homeowners stepped through their front door. They were greeted by the sight of their beautifully staged home, complete with a cozy living room seating area, elegant lighting and thoughtfully chosen wall décor, including a charming family photo gallery. The dining room featured a welcoming table and chairs, ready for future family gatherings. To top it all off, a brightly lit Christmas tree sparkled in the corner, adding a festive touch to their warm and inviting new space.
“It is just beautiful,” said Mo, the new homeowner. “Ana, you must’ve read my mind! I can’t wait to have a meal with my family at the table. God bless Ana, she gave me exactly what I was thinking of for my house – this is me. Thank you!”
