The Grow program, in partnership with PenFinancial, was selected as one of the recipients of EQ Bank’s Empowering Your Community grant. Colin Lewis, Regional Director of Credit Union Services at EQ Bank, travelled from Halifax to join the celebration, meet the Grow team, explore the greenhouses, and learn about the next exciting steps for this innovative program. PenFinancial is deeply grateful to EQ Bank for this opportunity, as the funding will help take the Grow program to the next level.

With this grant, the Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre can expand the Grow program to reach more participants and enhance available resources. The funding will go towards garden beds, accessible pathways, a seed library, Indigenous guest speakers, workshops, and a part-time student job focusing on gardening, sustainability, and Indigenous Resurgence and Resilience.
