Join the Earth Week and Beyond webinar hosted by Niagara Region. During the webinar we will explore services that are available to the public and practical tips for leading a more environmentally conscious lifestyle.
Learn how you can make a meaningful difference through simple changes in daily routines or adopting sustainable habits.
The webinar will end with a Question and Answer session where you can engage directly with our staff as we answer your questions!
Participants must register for the webinar as space is limited. Sign up by Friday, April 19.
Depot Days Earth Week Contest
Saturday, April 20 – Saturday, April 27
From April 20-27, residents are invited to drop off any Household Hazardous Waste materials, bikes or reusable goods at one of the Regional Drop-off Depots during business hours to be entered to win a $50 Visa gift card.
Learn about acceptable Household Hazardous Waste materials, reusable goods and depot locations.
Community Booths: Various Dates
Niagara Region’s Waste Management team will be out in the community educating residents about Niagara’s waste diversion programs and selling Kitchen Catchers and Green Bins. Booth visitors can also enter for a chance to win a new Green Bin! Stop by and say hello.
- Friday, April 19, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.: Links for Greener Learning Planet vs. Plastics Earth Day event at the St. Catharines Farmers Market
- Saturday, April 20, 8 a.m. – noon: Earth Day Extravaganza at the Welland Farmers Market
- Saturday, April 20, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.: Thorold Earth Day Event at the Thorold Arena
