Every day this November someone will win a prize as part of the Women’s Place One-Month Calendar Raffle. The raffle, which is the third month- long raffle that the agency has hosted, will support critical domestic violence services atWomen’s Place’s shelter on McLeod Rd and at its satellite offices across South Niagara. The fundraiser is part of the agency’s effort to raise funds and awareness during Woman Abuse Prevention Month in November.
Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at various locations across Niagara until 4 p.m. on October 28. After that date, tickets can also be purchased over the phone by contacting 905- 356-3933 (ext. 241) and will be available even after the daily draws have started on November 1st. Every ticket comes with 30 chances to win great prize packages, and every winning ticket will be re-entered into the draw so participants can win more than once! In total, there are over $12,000 in cash and prizes.
Prizes for the daily draws have been generously donated by businesses and individuals across our community, including a grand prize of $1,000, which was donated by an anonymous individual to honour long-time Women’s Place volunteer and advocate, Bunnie Brandt, who passed away earlier this year.
Detailed information about sales locations, prize packages and donors can be found on the Women’s Place website at: https://womensplacesn.org/give-help/fundraising-calendar/
