Rodman Art Institute of Niagara is a registered charity responsible for the 1000-piece art collection and endowments of the Rodman Hall Arts Centre, which was founded in 1960. With support from the City of St. Catharines, Rodman Art Institute of Niagara has started the process of protecting and supporting the collection with the goal of creating a permanent and professional new public art gallery for the Niagara Region. This new public art gallery will be home to the collection and a gathering place where our communities will engage with the artwork of leading artists from our region and around the country. Our aim is to enhance the visual arts ecosystem of our region through collaboration and mutual support.
Lord Cultural Resources, the international museum planning firm, has been retained to assist in community consultations. Jean Bridge said, “I am very excited to hear the community vision for this wonderful, modern-art collection.” Gail Lord, President of Lord Cultural Resources, added, “I love living in the Niagara Region and I am delighted to assist in this important process.”
