In Niagara there are 10,787 people living with dementia. To honour them and those that care for them as part of the IG Wealth Management Walk For Alzheimer’s we are walking 10,787 steps throughout January – Alzheimer Awareness Month.  You may do your steps in any safe way you choose! Challenge yourself to 10,787 steps in one day, over the next week, around your neighbourhood or on an exercise machine – or have your dog do them for you! Walking is good for your health, but mostly it is a symbolic gesture to show people living with dementia that they do not walk on this journey alone!

It is not too late to register for the Walk and to help raise funds for local programs and services! Every dollar raised makes a difference to the families we support!

Already registered for the Walk? Then please sign up as an individual or team for our Trivia Wrap Up, Sunday, January 31 at 2pm! We are looking forward to closing out Alzheimer Awareness month with you, exercising our brains and coming together for some fun! Shelby Knox from Newstalk 610 CKTB will be emceeing, Cory Cruise has recorded a song just for us and there are prizes to be given out!  SIGN UP HERE!

Are you curious about joining us virtually but not very familiar with Zoom? Join us to test your connection to Zoom and increase your comfort using the platform. Explore features inside Zoom including using the chat box, renaming your display name, turning your video on and off, mute and un-mute, and display options.  Once you register you will be sent an email containing the link to the zoom session.  (And Hey, this is our first time offering Virtual Trivia – so we will learn together!)
