On Saturday, June 10th at 4:30 Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff will be at Wild West Day to open the Discovery Centre for the non-profit charity Horse Sense For Kids made possible, in part, by a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. HSFK recognizes the urgent need for quality programs aimed at improving the mental health and well-being of at-risk children in the Niagara region. The program uses the Power, Beauty and Magic of horses to positively impact children’s lives. The Activity Centre is a place for kids to get together for other activities and to have dinner.
MPP Sam Oosterhoff will attend the event to mark the renovations to the Discovery Centre, possible because of the Foundation’s grant.
Brenda Langedoen, Executive Director, will be talking about Horse Sense For Kids and the impact the program has on children struggling with mental health issues, living in poverty and in other at risk-situations.
BCM (Bertie & Clinton mutual) Community Grants Program is sponsoring Wild West Day and Jason Cybulski from BCM will also be there.
