Ms. Burnett is the president of Landscape of Nations 360°, a unique national Indigenous education and tourism initiative, Artpark’s Indigenous Producer of Arts, and the Artistic Producer of Artpark’s Annual Strawberry Moon Festival, all providing a far-reaching platform for the community to embrace and honour the unique heritage, diverse cultures, and outstanding achievements of Indigenous peoples.
In recognition of International Women’s Day and the global call to action for gender parity, we have partnered with United Way Niagara to help women facing period poverty.
Nearly 1 in 4 women in Niagara struggle to buy period products for themselves or their children, but you can change that. The Period Promise initiative brings attention to the need for making period products accessible for those living in poverty. We invite you to make your Period Promise and bring a box of unopened products on March 3.
