Since 1976, the Welland Heritage Council and Multicultural Centre has supported newcomers in building successful lives in Canada. The Centre helps immigrants overcome barriers through language programs, settlement services, and employment support. Many former clients now volunteer, giving back to the community that welcomed them.
Their Employment Solutions program offers services to help newcomers enter the workforce, including resume building, job search support, and interview preparation. The Centre also supports Internationally Educated Health Professionals in navigating the steps to return to their field in Canada.
Through partnerships with schools, cultural organizations, and local agencies, the Centre plays a key role in Niagara’s cultural and economic development. With a committed staff and strong community connections, the Centre continues to piece together a brighter future for all.
